Affiliate Program Terms

Last updated: August 30, 2026

These terms govern the Blip affiliate program, the program through which we pay people for bringing new friend groups to Blip. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service. By participating in the program (sharing your referral link after we enroll you, or accepting a payout), you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't take part.

Joining the program

The program is invitation-only: you become an affiliate when we enroll you, either after you request it in the app or because we reached out. Enrollment is at our discretion, requires a Blip account in good standing, and isn't transferable. When you're enrolled we send you a welcome email with your personal referral link and your rate.

How referrals work

Two things attribute a signup to you:

A referral becomes qualified (and payable) once the referred person joins or starts a real group on Blip. An account that signs up but never lands in a group stays pending and doesn't pay out. Each new account can be attributed to at most one affiliate, and our records are the authoritative count of your referrals and earnings. You can see your own numbers any time in the app under Settings → Affiliate program.

Promotion guidelines

Blip is a private feed for small friend groups, and the program exists to reach people who'd genuinely use it. When you promote Blip, you agree to:

Your status and taxes

Being an affiliate makes you an independent participant in a referral program, not our employee, agent, or partner, and you have no authority to act for Blip. Payouts are gross amounts: you're responsible for any taxes on what you earn, and for reporting it where you live. We may ask for information we're legally required to collect before paying out.

Privacy

We store the payout details you give us (your Venmo handle, IBAN, or Wise tag) with your account, use them only to pay you, and handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. You can update or remove them in the app at any time, or ask us at [email protected] (removing them means we can't pay you until you provide new ones).

Ending participation, and changes

You can leave the program at any time by telling us; we can pause or end your participation, or the program itself, at any time, and immediately if we believe referrals were fraudulent or these terms were seriously breached. When participation ends, attribution stops for new signups. Legitimately earned, qualified amounts remain payable; amounts tied to fraud or serious breach are forfeited. We may update these terms from time to time: we'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and continuing to participate after a change means you accept it.
